FNC quickly and efficiently neutralizes formaldehyde solution spills. FNC
completely immobilizes concentrated solutions ( 15 - 37% ) within 3 - 10 minutes
and eliminates vapour emissions. The resulting residues are environmentally harmless
and safe to handle. VYTAC FNC is minimally hazardous and very safe to use.
FNC may also be used with land farming techniques, to neutralize ground
spills. It is harmless to vegetation. FNC is the product of choice
for the neutralization of waste formaldehyde solutions in hospitals and medical
laboratories. ( Please consult the institutional applications
infor-mation sheet for further information. ) One liter of VYTAC FNC
will neutralize approximately : 670 ml of formaldehyde 37% 2,500 ml of
formaldehyde 10% 6,000 ml of formaldehyde 4% |

FAS quickly and efficiently absorbs and immobilizes ammonia and formaldehyde
solution spills. This product has been developed to be completely compatible with
the VYTAC neutralization system. FAS is simple to use. Residues
are easy to dispose of. Volatility is reduced, and effective reodourant controls
formaldehyde vapour emissions. When used correctly, FAS is 5 to 10 times
as cost effective as conventional synthetic adsorbants. FAS is non-toxic
and biodegradable. Use 20 - 40 grams per litre of spilled ammonia or formaldehyde
solution. | FNC
LCX is a concentrated neutralizer for low concentration solutions of formaldehyde
or glutaraldehyde. The proprietary blend of low toxicity oxygenated sodium salts
and activators is effective at the removal of formaldehyde down to levels of less
than 100 ppm. The fast dissolving powder is optimized for batch and flow through
neutralization processes. 1 litre of 40,000 ppm Formaldehyde solution will
be neutralized with 150 - 160 grams of VYTAC FNC LCX. |

JCN is a neutralizer complex for sodium hypochlorite solutions. This unique
formulation is specially balanced to prevent the generation of hazardous by-products
that can occur with standard neutralization techniques. The built in indicator
system shows when the neutralization is complete, for maximum safety and economy.
JCN is efficient and user friendly. One liter of pure VYTAC JCN
will neutralize approximately: 1.7 litres of Sodium Hypochlorite 12%
3.4 litres of Sodium Hypochlorite 6% | Mercury
is a highly toxic material. Its release into the atmosphere and the water system
can have a serious negative impact. The accepted TLV for mercury vapour is .05
mg / cu. m. of air. When mercury is spilled, hazardous vapour levels can quickly
develop, thus it is important to treat these spills promptly and effectively.
VYTAC MIS is a unique formulation that transforms liquid mercury into an
immobile solid amalgam, which almost completely suppresses the emission of mercury
vapours. MIS once activated, works on contact. The solid granules can be
easily and safely removed with pick up tools or vacuum devices. MIS is
also effective on spills in drains and can be used to make mercury waste safer
for transport. Having MIS on hand is a must for all industries and institutions
using mercury. (Hospitals, electrical component manufacturers, chemical producers
and distributors, educational and industrial laboratories, etc.) It will require
approx. 120 -150 grams of MIS to treat 100 grams(only 8 ml) of mercury. |
When
mercury is spilled, it can break up into fine particles that disperse and infiltrate
inaccessible area. These particles, if left untreated, continuously release mercury
vapours into the air. These vapours are heavy and can build up to toxic levels.
While VYTAC MIS will treat any mercury recovered, further cleanup
may require the removal of equipment and furniture. Shutting down an area can
be inconvenient and costly. VYTAC MVS will provide temporary protection
against mercury vapours. VYTAC MVS has been specially developed to
deal with highly dispersed mercury. The chemically activated particles bind to
mercury surfaces and absorb mercury vapour. MVS is ideally suited to penetrate
inaccessible areas, such as cracks and crevices, where mercury particles can reside.
MVS is easy to apply and it effectively suppresses the generation of vapours
to well below hazardous levels. It is convenient and safe for workers to use. | VYTAC
VSP is a high performance vapour suppressant and adsorbent formulated for
use on small spills of volatile liquid fuels and organic solvents. Properly applied,
VSP significantly reduces the flammability of these materials and will
allow for safe spill cleanup and handling. VSP controls vapour emissions,
minimizing inhalation hazards. It can also absorb chlorinated organic solvents.
VSP is non-toxic, non-abrasive and easy to apply.Typically 600 -700 grams
of VYTAC VSP will adsorb 1 litre of solvent. To elevate the flash point
of spills to 140 F ( 60 C ) ( for safe transport) will require 3.5 - 4.5
Kg of VSP per litre of solvent. |

GNF permits institutions to eliminate glutaraldehyde from the waste stream
with a simple economical approach. Glutaraldehyde is a widely used equipment disinfectant
for the health care industry. Generally available in a 2 percent solution with
other additives, these products pose an environmental risk when discharged into
the sewage system. GNF is also available in a ready-to-use liquid. To neutralize
1 liter of 2% glutaraldehyde solution requires 160 -200 ml of GNF solution.
GNF solution is prepared by dissolving 250 grams of the GNF powder
in a liter of warm water ( 110 - 120 F ). | |
